FAQ

  • Are Nutrition by Marlo services covered by insurance?

While I am ‘private pay’, about 90% of my patients do, in fact, get reimbursed by their insurance companies. There are several ways to pursue getting the services covered by the insurance company. I’m happy to share this information regarding diagnosed diagnosis codes and other pertinent information, including a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance company.

  • How many visits will my child/teen/family need to achieve our goals?

Every client in my practice is treated as an individual. For this reason, there are no set amount of appointments regarding nutritional care. However, my ultimate goal is to empower you and your family with the knowledge to continue to lead a healthier lifestyle on your own. It is always important to me to take the lead of my clients regarding how often we meet, and for how long.

  • How do you meet with my child/teen/college student/family? Are the appointments in person or virtual?

While my practice was in person for 25 years, over the past two years I’ve restructured my practice to be predominantly virtual. I have found the same concierge level of care can be achieved via various virtual platforms. Many of my high school and college students prefer this route due to their busy lifestyle, being away at college, or other circumstances. If you live within close proximity to my location or your child/teen/family is better suited to in-person appointments, arrangements for in-person visits within your home can be discussed and explored.
